Holistic Facial
A traditional facial treatment involves treating the skin to a cleanse, tone, facial mask and moisturise to improve its appearance and health. A holistic facial still includes all of these elements but in addition, you get added aspects of other complementary treatments, making it a truly ‘holistic’ experience for your whole body and mind.

Your skin is your body’s first line of defence against illness, bacteria and disease, therefore taking regular care of it is very important. In my mind, having a four weekly facial is less about outer beauty and more about selfcare and healthcare.
A holistic facial involves treating the skin to a cleanse, tone , facial mask and moisturise to improve its appearance and health. As well as a mini Reiki session to balance the chakra energy points, a rejuvenating facial massage and a deeply relaxing scalp massage… just heaven!
I also only use organic and toxin free skincare products that are made with natural plant oils and fragranced with pure essential oils so you get the added therapeutic benefits of what nature has to offer.

On arriving for your holistic facial treatment, I will discuss with you any concerns you have noted about your skin on the pre-treatment consultation form and how any of the life factors on the form may be affecting your skin.
I will invite you to pop on a headband to keep stray strands of hair out of the way and to make yourself comfortable on the couch. A sheet and a bolster will be available to keep you warm and comfortable and a towel will be placed over you.
The treatment begins with some relaxing breathing techniques and grounding to put you at ease. The products then used will vary depending on the facial option you have chosen but will typically begin with a cleanser followed by a toner and I will talk you through which products I am using and why.
The hot towels part of the treatment involves placing soft cloths dipped in hand hot water over the face to create steam and open up the pores. If you are claustrophobic then I can omit this part.
After smoothing on the facial mask, I will offer you a few minutes of Reiki to balance your energies whilst the mask takes effect. The mask is removed with sponges dipped in warm water and skin patted dry.
I will then move on to the facial massage using a facial oil. This facial massage acts on acupressure points on the face which stimulates the sympathetic nervous system. This reduces your stress levels, uplifts your mood and has a positive effect on the other organs in your body.
The final products to be applied are generally a moisturiser and eye cream to feed the skin with much needed plant nutrients and leave it smoothed, plumped and more radiant.
The whole thing is finished off with a wonderfully relaxing scalp massage to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
