Five Ways to Save Money On Your Wellbeing
“Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth and faithfulness the best relationship,” ~ Buddha
Without our health and wellbeing, what do we actually have?
Wellbeing should always be a priority and never a luxury, but I do understand that cost can sometimes be a factor when it comes to booking your regular holistic wellbeing treatments. In this blog post, I share five ways in which I’ve tried to make it easier and more affordable to prioritise your health and wellbeing in 2025.
1. Free treatments through your employer or private health insurance.
If your employer offers an employee assistance programme such as Medicash, you may be able to receive treatments for free. All schemes are different, and it is best to check what exactly your employer offers and what treatments are covered.
Often it is for you to pay me up front and then claim the money back using a receipt I can provide for you.
Complementary and alternative therapies are sometimes also covered if you have private health insurance, but this depends on your specific policy. It’s definitely worth checking out with your employer or health insurance provider to see what they cover!
2. Carer discounts
Did you know I offer a 20% discount on all treatments for unpaid carers? From the personal experience of my own family, I understand very well how hard it can be to keep up the energy and mental strength needed to care for a loved one. A regular holistic treatment can really help maintain your own health and wellness and give you the strength to keep going and keep caring, and so I give to you a 20% discount, applicable on all treatments all year round!
Simply email me at caroline@thepeacockretreat.co.uk with proof of your caring responsibilities before booking and I will apply the discount for you.
3. Block book and save
I offer savings on block bookings of either three Reiki or Indian Head Massage treatments.
As the benefits of reiki build in your system over time, I always advise that you begin your Reiki journey with a block of three treatments over 4-6 weeks to maximise its power to restore your sleep, regulate a stressed-out nervous system and re-balance mind and body.
Book your three sessions up front and you save £15!
Similarly, for clients looking for relief from migraine, headaches or neck and shoulder tension, it can be helpful to start with a block of three treatments to get to the bottom of the issue.
Book a set of three treatments up front and save £10.
We can then discuss an ongoing maintenance schedule of follow-up treatments at regular intervals if appropriate.
4. Spread the cost with monthly payments
If you’d love to come for a stress-busting treatment every month but that is just not possible financially right now, then consider an instalment plan. Decide how many treatments you can manage over a 12-month period and pay for them in smaller monthly instalments.
For example, a deeply relaxing and re-balancing reiki session costs £45 per monthly treatment. Want to enjoy one every other month instead? Sign up for a direct debit instalment plan and you’ll pay just £22.50 per month and enjoy six treatments per year!
I can tailor these to your exact needs so simply get in touch with me if this is of interest? Email caroline@thepeacockretreat.co.uk.
5. Teacher and school staff savings
I know how tricky it can be for those working in education to attend regular appointments. This is why I offer the option for you to book priority appointment slots each half-term holiday and pay for them in monthly instalments.
For example, book a restorative and energy-boosting 90-minute ‘De-stress Package’ each school holiday (six per year) and pay for it over twelve months for just £30 per month.

If cost is a barrier to you accessing the wellbeing support, you need then please don’t be afraid to discuss this with me. I occasionally have the possibility to offer free appointments that have been paid for by other clients who are not in a position to take their slot up within the month. I may also be able to direct you to other services that can help you.
