Simple Steps You Can Take Today To Be Healthier and Happier in 2024

"If You Always Do What You've Always Done, You'll Always Get What You've Always Got."
- Henry Ford

Can you remember what resolutions or goals you set yourself at the start of 2023?

Maybe you wanted to get fitter, find more time to do the things you love to do, be more organised at home or work or just strike a better balance so you can feel more contented and less anxious all the time.

But it just hasn't worked out that way!

You set off with all good intentions, but then life just seemed to get in the way somehow, now ten months in, and you are back where you started or not as far forward as you hoped?

Sound familiar?

As we rapidly approach the end of another year, it is human nature to start to reflect on what we have achieved over the past twelve months and what we would like to look different in our lives next year. Often this comes with a whole heap of regrets for what we feel we haven't achieved and self-recriminations that we haven't stuck to the goals we set ourselves last New Year and that all this is somehow our fault for not being "disciplined enough", "motivated enough" or "good enough"!

Spoiler alert…it is not your fault. You just didn't have the tools and knowledge you needed to help you succeed, but don't worry,  we can change all that.

As we get swept up in the pre-Christmas frenzy that is gift buying, food shopping and festive socialising, it may seem easier to leave thoughts of all this until we have gotten through the end of this year, but by taking just a little time out to think about what you want out of 2024 now can really make a difference to whether you then go on to achieve it.

The good news is that by taking some simple steps now, 2024 really can be the year that you finally achieve your goals and shout out loud and proud "Now is my time!".

Step 1 — Complete a free Wellbeing Analysis Survey

This will help you reflect on what you need to do to make a change for 2024 and will also mean you start getting some support to do just that. I will respond to your answers with some free advice on simple changes you can start making now to improve your physical health and better manage your stress levels and anxious thought patterns, so you know exactly what to do when you feel the time is right.

Step 2 — Book a free 30-minute one-to-one wellbeing consultation with me

This can be in-person, over the phone or on Zoom and is an opportunity for us to discuss further your hopes and aspirations for the new year and how I can support you with achieving these. You don't have to do it alone, and you are more likely to keep on track if you have someone cheering you on and reminding you why you set the goal in the first place when your initial motivation inevitably wanes.

Step 3 — Give your wellbeing a real boost

If you are serious about making simple but consistent changes that have the potential for huge improvements in how you feel about your life, and you want my support to create an achievable plan for this, then find out more about the Wellbeing Boost.

We can get cracking straight away and use the first of your six one-to-one sessions with me to consider your needs, challenges, and experiences so we both have a clear understanding of what you truly want to achieve in the coming year and crucially - why.

By starting this process before the festive chaos, we can really get to grips with setting realistic and achievable goals for 2024 so you are ready to get started as soon as the last mince pie has disappeared. Plus, you'll already have five more sessions planned in the diary with me over January and February to work on your goal and keep you on track.

So, no matter whether it is losing weight, better managing work stress so you don't bring it home with you, improving your sleep, coping with chronic pain or dealing with an over-thinking and anxious mind – give yourself the best present you can this Christmas and take the first step to a healthier and happier you in 2024!
